Here's the news from Henry's family. Please pray for him and ask those around you to pray for him as well

Family and friends,
It has been a typical Toth family week. Henry turned 1 year old on Friday; we had a big party and praised God for His goodness and His favor on our family. Then in typical quick-change Henry fashion he took a drastic turn for the worse. He is now in the PICU at ACH and needs a vent to breathe. Sorry for the shocking update… On Saturday Henry started showing a little extra fussiness and some sneezes. As the evening wore on he got a runny nose. By Sunday he was full on sick with what looked like the on-set of a pretty good cold and with his history this is obviously not a good thing. We did our best to keep him hydrated and fed and got him lined up to see his doc on Monday. At the doc’s office they checked him for the flu and for RSV; both came back negative. Praise God! His doc suggested that we get him to ACH for the best care possible and that it would be better for us to drive him there without the threat of a medical emergency versus having another life flight if he worsened. Worsen he did… We got to ACH about 9pm Monday night and went straight to the ER. They x-rayed and treated his lungs, and released him about 3am. Being the parents of Mr. Quick-Change Handsome Pants we thought better of heading home until we saw that he was stable. By 10am Tuesday he was wheezing and struggling to catch his breath. We returned to ACH where he was whisked to the ER and surrounded by 10 or more awesome caregivers. After getting him stabilized, which included sedated and on a vent, they took some new x-rays and braced Nikki and me for the news. He is really sick and it is really scary. His lungs are a mess and he needed 100% oxygen and a vent just to keep his O2 levels safe. He has since then been weaned down to 50%. So once again Nikki and I have turned the life of our son over to God’s hands and his angels (heavenly and earthly) at ACH. Of course his caregivers are all very optimistic, but grounded and are keeping us grounded with the reality that he is very fragile and very sick. Having sick lungs is the worst thing that could happen to Henry. We know that he is a strong boy and has His angels swarming him constantly. We can only imagine what big plans God has for Henry that presses the enemy to make such a big deal about such a small boy. So what’s so “typical Toth family week” about all of this you ask? Well, that’s just how it is in our world. A friend mentioned recently how well we seemed to cope with the realities of our daily life and I could only give credit to God, recognize that this IS our reality, and acknowledge that only through His grace are we able to cope with any of it. We continue to be palms up and trust our children to the One Healer and Provider. He continues to show us His grace, is our Redeemer, and our Prince of Peace. Please join us in praising Him with your palms up, and thanks for doing life with us.
In His care (and a little scared),
Steve and Nikki
