Daddy sings

I LOVE it when Daddy sings and plays the guitar for me. I will sit and listen and observe for a really long time even if I'm fussy. My favorite Daddy song is "Round the Mulberry Bush" but Daddy wasn't singing that when mommy got the camera out.

Silly Sister

I don't really care for my baby swing much anymore but Mommy still sticks me in there for a couple of minutes when she needs both hands. The rest of the time, my toys get thrown in it to keep them out of the way. The other day, mommy strapped me in so she could start supper and when she checked on me a minute later, Livi had done this:


Apparently, the toys are supposed to be in there whether I am or not.

Pray for Kelti

Kelti's scheduled for her open heart surgery tomorrow so pray hard for her and her family and her doctors, please!

Dr. Davis says....

We had a visit with our super pediatrician, Dr. Davis last Thursday. He says that I weigh 16.91 pounds (that's about the 90th percentile) and I'm 26.18 inches long (that's about the 90th percentile too). So, I'm still big but I'm proportionate so that's good. He also said I'm right on track (and kinda ahead in lots of areas) for development and he's not worried about me at all. He watched me push my tummy off the ground and said he wouldn't be surprised to see me crawling before long and said we're okay to start solids but Mommy said I have to wait until I'm a little older still. He listened to my heart and lungs and isn't worried about my cough because everything sounds okay inside and my cough should go away when my nose stops being all gross. He said I'm an excellent little man and am in excellent health.

Sitting

I can sit up all by myself. Daddy says it does not count because I'm leaning on my hands but Mommy says it does count because it's all by myself. Let's hear it, friends...does the following video count as me sitting?

At the Park

This is what I do at the park. Mommy says it will get more fun once I can crawl and walk. I still thought it was pretty fun but I'm easily entertained.

Me and mommy

Mommy's been trying to get a cute picture of her and me together and she finally got a couple. Well, we think we're cute, anyway. I wasn't getting ready to eat her face in that first one...nuh-uh, I wasn't!

A walk in the park

Mommy took me and Livi for a walk and to play at the park.

Playing with Max

Max comes to our house to play a couple of times a week. Usually, he plays with Livi and doesn't really pay much attention to me but yesterday, he wanted to play with me for a little while. He tried to teach me where my toes, ears, and hair are.

I'm officially in totally 6-9 month clothes. Mommy finally just gave up on trying to smoosh me into my super cute but unworn 3-6 month clothes and packed them up. I'm in size 2 or 2/3 diapers. I'm weighing in around 17 pounds and 24 1/2 ish inches long (I have a dr, appt, Thursday so we'll know the official stats then. My teeth hurt and mommy thinks I may be getting in about 6 more all at once. I don't want to sleep during the day very much but I have been sleeping from about 7pm until about 2 am and then nibbling on and off every 1-2 hours after that until I get up for an hour at 7ish and take a nap after that. Ny favorite hobbies include Olivia smiling at me, "Way Up High inthe Apple Tree" and "Popcorn" with Mommy, "Mulberry Bush" and "Shake you booty" with Daddy, mirrors,and rattles, inventing new ways to avoid napping, and grabbing everyone's face for big baby kisses. Oh yes, and I think Bumbo seats are a form of baby abuse.

C'mon, Mom!

Mommy thinks I'm the cutest thing she's ever seen when I'm all "aired out" in my bed. Pardon the snotty nose, we've been sickly at our house but we're doing lots better now.

Who's that?

Who's that? Is that, eh, ummm, wait...when I smile, he smiles. That's AMAZING...how does he know exactly what I'm gonna do. Oh man, he's stinking cute...ahhhh, he smiled bigger, I should smile bigger, ahhhhhhhh, I should laugh. He laughed too. This is great!

Rollin' in Reverse

I learned how to roll from my back to my tummy and I also scoot but I mostly only scoot with my chest and legs. It's really more of a bulldozing and less of a scoot. Mommy hasn't gotten the scooting part but here's the rolling

runny nose, yucky cough

I have a boogery nose and a yucky cough. Daddy's worried about the cough and wheezy part so Mommy's gonna take me to the doctor tomorrow if I'm not better very soon. So far, no fever and I seem to be relatively unbothered by it. I'm still eating PLENTY.
